During a weekend in Cologne, I had a chance to visit the little city of Maastricht.

Masstricht is located in the southern most province of the Netherlands, close to the German border.  It is easily explored on foot, with a very cute walk across the river Maas, and a city centre filled with shopping and two main squares, Markt and Vrijthof, filled with cafes and restaurants – perfect for lunch or a drink.

Somehow I missed the Selexyz Dominicanen bookstore which is supposed to be beautiful, so perhaps I’ll have to make another visit to this charming little city!
