A Long Weekend in Bermuda: Beaches, Pink Sand & Quick Escape from NYC
For the Fourth of July, we slipped away to Bermuda—a quick 2-hour hop from New York City—for a beach-filled long weekend.

We stayed at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club (Fairmont Princess), a 5-star hotel with sparkling pools, great restaurants, and a private beach accessible by jitney. It was the perfect base to soak in the island’s mix of elegance and turquoise waters.

Thursday – Arrival & Beach Time
We landed mid-day, had lunch at the hotel, and wasted no time heading straight to the private beach. The soft sand and calm blue waters were the best welcome.

Friday – Exploring by Twizy
We rented a little electric car and set off around the island. Stops included the Crystal Caves, with their otherworldly limestone formations, a visit to St. George’s, and a trip to the famous pink sand beaches before returning for sunset at the Fairmont’s beach club.

Saturday – Sailing & Snorkeling
We joined a snorkel catamaran trip, which gave us time both in the water and under sail. It was a great way to experience Bermuda from the ocean and enjoy the island’s vibrant marine life.

Sunday – Heading Home
After a final breakfast with ocean views, we headed back to the airport—sun-kissed, relaxed, and already plotting a return.⸻
