I really wanted to celebrate my birthday with some close friends on a beach, and Mallorca was just the place.
But first, the celebration started on Thursday – I went to work to find the team causing trouble with cake & balloons. Only my team would stick my face on a cake and cause a scene throughout the office.
Friday morning, we all flew out to Mallorca for a serendipitous weekend. I love the fact that a group of 10 can manage to just book flights & hotels in advance, and yet everything else falls into place.
The weekend was filled with food, drinks, sunshine & parties. Once we landed on Friday, we wandered through the old town taking in the sights and enjoying tapas, followed by ice cream. A short break in the hotel for drinks and siesta, and then ended the evening with a huge seafood meal, followed by drinks.
Saturday was food-filled, yet again. We had breakfast near the hotel and then spent some time on a boat enjoying the weather, followed by window shopping, tapas, dinner & clubbing.
And Sunday was our beach day – an amazing day just enjoying the sunshine, and of course eating tapas and drinking sangria!
It was a perfect weekend getaway, allowing for a chance to relax despite it being such a short trip.
