Meknes
Fes often overshadows its neighboring city, but I would say the stay was well worth the visit.
Riad D’Or was gorgeous. Our room was on the top floor, with a private terrace, overlooking all of Meknes, and our very own cat! The only complaint was a luke-warm shower in the morning.
We had a laid back day, and leisurely strolled through the town, visiting key sites like Bab Al Mansour, and random Moroccans gathering in the plaza doing tricks and praying in between.
No visit would be complete without a trip to the Medina. While there are soukes geared to tourists , there are also produce markets, table makers, and mattress stuffers.
